Hello! My name is Amanda, and I am a Denver-based therapist with 10 years’ experience working with people from widely varying backgrounds and experiences. I believe everyone can benefit from therapy – whether seeking support for a life transition, exploring and healing trauma, or identifying and optimizing your patterns for greater satisfaction in your day-to-day life and relationships. We all thrive when we are seen and heard for who we truly are, in a non-judgmental and caring setting.
I earned my Master’s in Clinical Social Work from the University of Denver, which laid the foundation for my diverse training and experience. I became a therapist because I am genuinely curious and interested in people, and in getting to know each person’s unique experiences. I strive to create a safe and welcoming space where you can feel comfortable being yourself, allowing you to explore, grow, and heal. My approach is as individual and unique as the person I am working with! No therapeutic relationship or session will look the same, because you help co-create your experience by bringing who you are and what you want to focus on. I bring my training, experience, and genuine curiosity in you, tailoring my approach to what you want and need. What we focus on is driven by you!
My practice is grounded in a deep understanding of healthy development, trauma, and neuroscience. I offer an integrated approach that incorporates a variety of modalities. I am skilled and experienced in helping people with trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, relationship concerns, life transitions, and more. My approach draws from various methods, including EMDR, narrative therapy, CBT, Motivational Interviewing, client/person-focused therapy, SFBT, somatic (body-based) modalities, mindfulness, and yoga.
