About Amanda Scialabba

Amanda earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Stony Brook University and her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science with a minor in Strength and Conditioning from the University of Delaware. Upon graduation from Stony Brook University, she was recognized by the faculty for her clinical expertise and dedication to the profession in the clinical setting and was a recipient of the Clinical Excellence Award. While at Stonybrook, she had exposure to a variety of different settings, including outpatient orthopedics, sports rehabilitation, acute care, and pediatrics. Her clinical interests include orthopedics, return to sport training, and post-operative rehabilitation. Amanda’s interest in physical therapy stems from her love of sports and always participating in an active lifestyle. She grew up playing competitive soccer and appreciates the importance of optimizing movement and the recovery process. Amanda has volunteered for the NYC marathon, helping injured athletes. She has also provided mentorship and coaching to children at risk for cardiovascular disease, where she created nutrition, exercise, and behavior interventions to achieve a healthier lifestyle. Amanda is dedicated to staying up to date with the ever-evolving field of physical therapy. As a physical therapist, she works with patients to create a patient-based plan through individualized treatments using therapeutic exercise, manual therapies, and wellness to best fit a patient’s goals and help them return to the activities they love. In her spare time, Amanda enjoys spending time with friends and family. Amanda grew up on Long Island and enjoys exploring all that New York City has to offer. She enjoys staying active by running, skiing, hiking, and playing soccer.

Most relevant

Amanda isn't at this clinic and therefore she isn't who you will see. The PT was really unhelpful in helping me figure out what was wrong, was a total timewaste but the PT also couldn't wait to push more sessions on me. Wouldn't go back.
