What should a new client know about working with you?

My goal is to be a collaborative partner with clients seeking to make positive changes in their lives. From over 20 years of training, teaching, and clinical practice, I have developed a holistic view of my clients integrating a psychodynamic and cognitive-developmental perspectives with other evidence based interventions such as CBT, CPT, DBT, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, and Relapse Prevention in order to best support my clients in their therapy journey.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

We will start the therapy journey with a comprehensive intake as a time for you to share your present and past concerns and future goals. Building on hope for a better future, we will then collaboratively develop a treatment plan to clarify your goals and how we will work towards them. During our virtual talk therapy sessions we will explore your symptoms and concerns balancing a here and now approach with specific coping skills and an exploration and understanding of deeper underlying patterns of behaviors, thoughts, or emotions to aid in long term happiness and well being.
