What should a new client know about working with you?

As a psychologist, I understand how challenging it can be to hold everything together while navigating life’s pressures, relationships, and emotional patterns. Our therapeutic journey will be collaborative — a space where you can slow down, reflect, and explore your experiences without judgment. Together, we’ll uncover what’s beneath the stress, identify patterns that no longer serve you, and develop practical tools for greater emotional balance, self-compassion, and connection. My approach is trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and grounded in both science and connection. I integrate attachment theory, psychodynamic insight, and cognitive-behavioral strategies to create a personalized therapy experience — one that honors your unique story and helps you move toward healing, peace, and authenticity.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and focused on helping you feel both supported and empowered. During our initial sessions, we’ll take time to understand your goals, personal history, and the patterns that may be contributing to your current challenges. I often use this early phase to get a full picture of who you are—beyond the stress or symptoms that brought you in. From there, our sessions typically combine exploration and skill-building. We’ll look at how your emotions, thoughts, and past experiences influence how you respond to stress, relationships, and parenting. You’ll learn practical tools for emotional regulation and communication, while also developing deeper insight into yourself. My role is to help you feel seen and understood while also offering guidance that helps you create meaningful, sustainable change in your life.
