Dr. Amoha Bajaj-Mahajan, PhD

Psychologist
330 N Harrison St, Princeton, NJ
I am a Clinical and Health Psychologist with a PhD in Clinical and Health Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh, and I completed my Residency in Behavioral Medicine at Yale University. I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for adults. My areas of expertise include the treatment of stress, insomnia, chronic pain, smoking cessation, women's health and intimacy, and adjustment to medical illness. I also work with individuals experiencing symptoms associated with depression, anxiety, perfectionism, low self-esteem, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. I work primarily from a Cognitive Behavioral framework and also incorporate elements of Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Mindfulness-Based interventions. I integrate these different therapeutic approaches to tailor treatment to your individual needs and to work with you to better understand your mind, your body, and how they work together. I use a strengths-based and goal-driven approach to help you make the changes you want and need to live a more fulfilling life. The best part of my work is seeing people meet their goals, create meaningful change, and improve confidence and self-esteem. I bring warmth and genuineness to my work as a therapist. I take a collaborative approach with patients, listen to them attentively, allow them to share their concerns openly, and keep each patient's unique needs at the forefront while formulating treatment plans.
