About Dr. Amy Stein
Premier physical therapist, founder, and pioneer – Amy is at the forefront of treating pelvic floor dysfunction and pelvic pain, specializing in functional manual therapy for all people, including children. She earned both her Master's and Doctor of Physical Therapy degrees from Nova Southeastern University, grounding her expertise in rigorous academic training.
In addition to founding Beyond Basics, Amy has served as President – and is currently on the advisory board – of the International Pelvic Pain Society. She lectures internationally and has been featured in documentaries and on critically acclaimed TV shows such as Dr. Oz, ABC's 20/20, and Good Morning La La Land.
An award-winning author, Amy has written books on pelvic pain (Heal Pelvic Pain) and endometriosis (Beating Endo: How to Reclaim Your Life from Endometriosis) and created a video on pelvic and abdominal pain (Healing Pelvic Pain and Abdominal Pain). She is also co-editor of Healing in Urology and a featured author in numerous medical textbooks, including Pelvic Pain Management, Female Sexual Pain Disorders: Evaluation and Management, Management of Sexual Dysfunction in Men and Women, and The Overactive Pelvic Floor.
Her award-winning books and videos empower people to heal from pain, improve function, and reclaim their lives. A tireless educator and advocate, Amy works closely with patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers worldwide to raise awareness and improve access so more people receive the care they need.
Recently, Amy founded Wellness x Nature, her own line of healing CBD products designed to further assist and inspire those on their journey to good health and healing.
