What should a new client know about working with you?

My style is direct, positive, warm, and interactive. I will create the safety needed to explore the issues that underlie mood dysregulation and challenges moving through various phases of life. I have a passion and mission to help individuals live their fullest lives without needless suffering by raising awareness, enhancing self-compassion, building community and tapping into resiliency. Types of therapy: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Attachment-based, Coaching, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Culturally Sensitive, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), Motivational Interviewing, Narrative, Person-Centered, Positive-Psychology, Trauma Informed.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Your first session is a 50-minute appointment focused on understanding you — not just your symptoms, but the full picture of what you’re carrying right now. Before we meet, you’ll complete my intake paperwork and brief assessments. These help me understand your current emotional state, stress levels, and concerns so we can use our time together in a thoughtful and meaningful way. In our first session we’ll talk about what brought you to therapy and what’s feeling hardest right now. I work with both women and men, and many clients come in during periods of significant life transition, including: Perimenopause or menopause changes Fertility challenges, pregnancy, postpartum, or pregnancy loss Parenting stress and shifting family roles Career shifts, burnout, or “What’s next?” questions Aging parents, empty nesting, or relationship changes Mood changes connected to hormonal or life-stage transitions While I support adults of all genders, my advanced training and certifications are in women’s mental health, including perinatal and reproductive mental health. I bring specialized knowledge about how hormonal shifts and life-stage transitions can affect mood, anxiety, sleep, identity, and relationships — areas that are often overlooked or misunderstood. We’ll explore how your current stressors are impacting your emotional well-being and daily life. You don’t have to have everything figured out — part of therapy is making sense of it together. I’ll ask questions to understand your history and goals, but there’s never pressure to share more than you’re ready to. My style is warm, practical, and collaborative. I’ll also explain how therapy works, answer any questions, and begin offering support, perspective, and tools. By the end of the session, we’ll talk about next steps and whether continuing to work together feels like the right fit. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, understood, and a little less alone in what you’re going through. You Deserve To Feel Well!
