Hi, I’m Dr. Angelika Kulyasova, a licensed clinical psychologist based in San Diego and Texas. I work with individuals, couples, and families navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, substance use, and dual diagnoses. I believe in your inner strength and see therapy as a collaborative process, one where kindness, empathy, and directness can lead to real change. My approach is rooted in evidence-based, goal-oriented care. I draw from CBT, DBT, trauma-focused CBT, and I’m certified in Prolonged Exposure (PE). I bring warmth, humor, and compassion into our work together, always aiming to meet you where you are and help you move toward where you want to be. I earned my doctorate in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from UW–Stout, and a Bachelor’s in Psychology from UW–Stevens Point. No matter your path, I’m here to support you with clarity, courage, and care.

Working with me is collaborative, supportive, and goal-focused. I bring warmth, empathy, and a bit of humor, while also being direct and honest when it helps you grow. I’ll meet you where you are and help you move forward with clarity and confidence.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

We’ll start by identifying what’s bringing you in and what goals you want to work toward. From there, I use evidence-based approaches like CBT, DBT, trauma-focused CBT, and Prolonged Exposure to help you build coping tools, process what’s been holding you back, and create meaningful change.
