I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, practicing in Redding, CA. I attended San Francisco State University, where I obtained a Master’s Degree in 2005 in Rehabilitation Counseling with specializations in Gerontology and Deaf and Hard of Hearing Counseling. I began my career as a mental health counselor working for people with disabilities and did my clinical training at UCSF in the Center on Deafness where I worked for over nine years. I also spent several years working for Alameda County Children’s Specialized Services and Deaf Community Counseling Services. I know American Sign Language and loved the years that I worked in the Deaf Community.
In 2019, I transitioned to general therapy practice and currently work with children and adults from diverse backgrounds and abilities. I continue to facilitate Intensive Outpatient groups at the Psychiatric Care Center where I have been privileged to work since 2019. I am most proud of the work that I do to help people recover from trauma, anxiety/OCD, schizophrenia, and codependency. I utilize an array of treatment modalities including but not limited to Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Brainspotting, and Mindfulness-Based Therapy approaches. One of my favorite things about my job is providing psychoeducation from various authors and research to help normalize and increase understanding/awareness of what my clients experience. I am passionate about providing quality care and compassion to all of my clients.
I am a Bay Area native but have lived in the Redding area since 2019. I am looking forward to hearing your story and working together to help you recover and heal.
