“Both providers that I have seen at this practice were both punctual, great and informative. I feel like my condition so far is properly being treated and feel hopeful ?? that I will not have to rely on medication to cover up my pain. Treatment seems to be comprehensive- (incorporating breath work and acknowledging the impact stress has on the body/nervous system, and how it further contributes to pain responses/triggers, beyond just the actual physical injury that occurred- along with the very real pain that I’ve dealt with for literally YEARS)…. Taking a whole body/mind approach is exactly what I am looking for. While this is my first experience with PT, I can speak from prior experience that not all providers (spine ‘specialist’), take a such a comprehensive approach- which is exactly what I am looking for. Excellent bedside manner, felt comfortable with both providers - which I get nervous about. So far, excellent fit. ”

About Dr. Ashley Houck
As a lifelong member of the performing arts community, Ashley Houck, PT, DPT (she/her) specializes in dance movement and those with scoliosis. She has treated clients backstage for numerous Broadway shows, dance companies, and musicians. In pursuit of her interest in scoliosis treatments, Ashley received specialized training from the Barcelona Scoliosis Physical Therapy School, which she now applies when working with individuals to achieve their best 3D posture. Ashley is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and Touro College School of Health Sciences where she was awarded the Maimonides Award for demonstrating the highest professional ideals of a healthcare professional. In her practice, she fosters a safe, inclusive, and transformative space for the folks she cares for and is a partner in her clients' healing and wellness.

Ashley Houck is a terrific professional along with the Orthology staff. As a new patient I felt very welcome, taken care of and assisted. I feel fortunate to start working with Ashley. She explained everything to me about the process, responded to my questions, gave me tips and advise, set up goals, taught me exercises that I can do at home to recover from a broken ankle, was extremely encouraging!
