About Dr. Benjamin Keene

I discovered the benefits of physical therapy after sustaining an injury of my own while playing sports back in high school. Physical therapy allowed me to overcome my injury without invasive surgery. My interest in and appreciation for physical therapy was taken to another level when I was in a car accident my senior year of high school. A close friend of mine was seriously hurt, and I was able to witness his transformation from incapacitation, and make a complete recovery, thanks to the efforts of his physical therapist. This experience inspired me to attain my bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology, as well as my master’s degree in physical therapy at Southwest Texas State University, and paramount in becoming a Doctor of Physical Therapy through Texas Tech University. I am now a board-certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists—the highest accreditation a manual therapist can achieve. When not helping patients get better, I enjoy free time with my wife Kristi, my daughter Isabella, and my son Koen. I also enjoy running, hiking, and camping in and around the Texas Hill Country.
