Brittney works with ages 6 and up. You’ll feel a warm, friendly, and empathetic presence when you meet with Brittney. You’ll feel appreciated and accepted for who you are, unconditionally and without judgement. Together with her, you’ll process your life’s journey, including the “bumps” in the road, as well as the unexpected detours. With Brittney’s guidance, you’ll evolve into the best version of yourself.
Brittney helps her clients overcome a variety of challenges, including trauma, depression and/or grief, anxiety, and interpersonal and intrapersonal skills and communication. She’s an expert at helping people heal from past experiences that have left them hurting or feeling incomplete.
Using empowerment tools and techniques such as journaling, coloring, and drawing, Brittney aids clients to access the inner recesses of their thought processes. Brittney also uses an eclectic mix of person-centered, humanistic, Gestalt-like modalities, plus EMDR and some aspects of narrative and play-therapy.
With a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Brittney has many years of experience working with a broad range of populations, including severely abused and neglected children to survivors of mass shootings and human trafficking. In 2016, she presented at the American Counseling Association and Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association’s conference in Montreal, Canada, on Multicultural Voices of Suffering and Healing.
