Dr. Monaco is a licensed clinical psychologist with over a decade of experience helping people achieve meaningful change. A native of New York City, Dr. Monaco earned her B.A. in Psychology and Economics from Northwestern University. She earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Alliant International University in San Diego, with her dissertation research focusing on disseminating evidence-based treatments for PTSD. Prior to starting Pelham Psychology, Dr. Monaco has trained in and worked at a range of settings, including working on research teams at the VA San Diego Healthcare System and New York State Psychiatric Institute/Columbia University. Dr. Monaco has extensive training and experience treating substance use disorders, and she trains professionals and family members in the Invitation to Change Model. Dr. Monaco is committed to creating collaborative and trusting relationships with her clients in order to thoroughly understand the client’s goals, values, and challenges and provide effective and compassionate treatment.
