Sometimes words cannot express the thoughts, feelings one may be experiencing. Or maybe a person is not aware, in their conscious mind, what may be troubling them. The creative process of active art making in Art Therapy, breaks through barriers allowing one to process issues from the inside out, incorporating mind, body, spirit.
As a Licensed Creative Arts Therapist with over 17 years experience, I use an integrative, person-centered approach of active art making combined with psychoanalytic theory. I guide an individual through various creative processes according to a person's individual needs, to enhance traditional talk therapy.
A person does not need artistic skill to engage and benefit from this experience. And all ages are welcome, children through seniors.
