About Dr. Christopher Kunkel

Born and raised in Maryland, Dr. Chris received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy at University of Maryland Eastern Shore and his Bachelor of Science at James Madison University. He has experience in multiple settings including outpatient orthopedics, acute hospital care, and surgicenter ambulatory services. He believes successful physical therapy is a mutual approach between patient and care provider, with a focus on pain-free movement. Dr. Chris has taken advanced manual therapy courses for the spine and post-graduate orthopedic courses for the hip and knee. He specializes in neck pain, low back pain, hip/knee injuries, and post operative rehabilitation. In his free time, Chris enjoys running, playing with his dog, and trying new restaurants in the area with his wife.
