About Dr. Corey Hazama

Premier physical therapist, co-founder, and educator - Corey is a lifelong learner certified in specialized therapeutic areas. She earned both her Bachelor's degree and Doctor of Physical Therapy from Simmons College, laying a strong foundation for her advanced clinical expertise. Corey has logged over 1,000 hours of continuing education. She is among the five percent of physical therapists nationwide who are board-certified orthopedic specialists (OCS). She also joined the elite group of Certified Functional Manual Therapists (CFMT), with fewer than 300 worldwide, earning Distinction on the exam with the second highest score in her class. More recently, she became a Women's Health Clinical Specialist with APTA. Her clinical experience includes inpatient rehabilitation at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in Boston and outpatient orthopedics in New York City, where she served as Clinical Director for Recovery Physical Therapy and Premiere Physical Therapy. She completed the four visceral mobilization core courses with the Barral Institute and Cranial Sacral I training with the Upledger Institute. An active mentor and educator, Corey has assisted in teaching the Institute of Physical Art's Functional Visceral Mobilization course. She also traveled to Japan to assist her husband in teaching Institute of Physical Art courses to Japanese physical therapists. We're out of network to provide better care. Patients receive a full hour, one-on-one, without being passed to aides. Treatment plans focus on your needs, not insurance requirements. We work toward functional goals that improve your life-not industry minimums set by insurers. For these reasons, we remain out of network. Our internal billing staff will submit claims on your behalf and guide you through your options.
