Darryl Tan, PT, DPT, brings a unique combination of education and experience to physical therapy. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Biological Sciences from Carnegie Mellon University and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Columbia University. His expertise spans orthopedic, cardiac, geriatric, post-operative, and sports medicine, enabling him to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care.
Darryl’s clinical foundation, built in acute hospital settings, has sharpened his focus on detail, especially in sports medicine. As a collegiate athlete, he developed a passion for optimizing performance, including refining golf swings. This personal and professional experience helps him connect with and effectively treat athletic populations.
Raised in a family immersed in physical therapy, with his father as a mentor, Darryl gained early insight into rehabilitation. This lifelong exposure shaped his compassionate, empathetic approach. Dr. Tan was very attentive and thorough during the consultation. He gave me some specific exercises to do everyday and helped create a plan to help me build strength in some areas and flexibility in others to help relieve chronic pain.
