What should a new client know about working with you?

I am an out-of-network provider & do not take insurance. For Individual Therapy: My fee is 350 for the initial session, 300 for all subsequent sessions. For Couples: My fee is 450 for the initial session, 400 for all subsequent sessions. . I specialize in cognitive behavioral therapy or CBT. CBT involves evidence-based practices that seek to: 1.) understand the relationship between thoughts, feelings, behaviors, physical responses/sensations, and interpersonal/physical environments; 2.) reduce emotional distress and engage in flexible problem solving; and 3. ) help people learn strategies to become more resilient and use parts of therapy on one's own in the future.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I typically begin with a 15-20 minute phone consultation that is free of charge to see if we may be a fit. (For couples, this call may be a little longer, and I require speaking with both members of a couple, preferably together, before scheduling a first session). If we progress after the consultation, we will schedule an intake/initial session, during which I will further assess your history, goals, and the best likely treatment for your objectives. Following the first session we would discuss impressions and a short and mid-term plan for a your care. In most cases, I work with clients on a weekly basis for a defined period of time before evaluating progress and next steps.
