Dr. Diana Bartlett, MD

Dr. Diana Bartlett, MD

Psychiatrist
NY
I provide medicine, therapy, as well as guidance on lifestyle modification. In my practice, my goal is to create a warm, supportive space where you feel safe enough to address issues concerning mood, anxiety, difficulties with motivation and focus, loneliness, work frustrations, relationship difficulties, and struggles around identity. As a psychiatrist, I view medicine as a helpful tool that can bring enormous relief from suffering. I prescribe medication with care, taking an evidence-based approach and paying close attention to you and your experience. I also draw from a wide variety of non-pharmacologic tools, including grounding exercises, visual imagery, and breath work. I appreciate the chance to see a wide range of people in my practice and welcome individuals with intersecting identities and diverse backgrounds. I earned my Doctor of Medicine from the University of Southern California and completed my residency in psychiatry at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Additionally, I hold a Master's degree in Comparative Literature from Indiana University, Bloomington.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

If you are seeking therapy (or both therapy and medication), please schedule a 45-minute session for your initial session. My fee for these appointments is $400. If needed, please ask for sliding scale availability. If you are seeking help with medication only, I find it helpful to schedule two meetings within about a week. (The first appointment can be scheduled through Zocdoc, the second we will schedule separately.) During the initial consultation meeting, we will spend an hour talking about what brings you to see me and go over your history in detail. During the second meeting, we will spend 30 minutes going over any questions that came up after the first meeting. Also during the second meeting we can talk more practically about working together and my initial thoughts about how I think I can be helpful to you. Follow up appointments generally occur once per month, for 30 minutes, though this may vary based on your need. My fees are $600 for an initial hour consultation, and $300 for 30-minute follow up appointments.
