Greetings, My name is Doretha J. (Rita) Myers and I am a licensed clinical social worker as well as a master addiction counselor, and my approach to therapy varies depending on the needs of each client. I prefer to assist clients in reaching their treatment goals by building initial rapport and asking questions that will assist me in providing them with excellent service. My experience varies as I have worked with clients who struggle with depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, sexual abuse, divorce, grief, work-related stress, and substance abuse issues. I have utilized CBT, CPT, strengths-based approach, solution-focused. grief therapy and motivational interviewing. If you feel that one of the approaches listed meets your needs I would be delighted to assist you.

Adults with MDD, PTSD, Trauma, grief, codependency, generalized anxiety disorder, addiction, infidelity, panic attacks, divorce, relapse prevention, work related stress and coping skills.

I have always enjoyed helping others attain their goals by challenging them to consider a different approach to life's struggles. I consider myself to be a humorous person and will use it when appropriate. Several people in my extended family have struggled with mental health and substance abuse challenges.
