Getting to know Dr. Roshell Hanse

Please be aware that I DO NOT ACCEPT insurance at this practice. I provide clients with a superbill to submit to their insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement. I am Roshell, the Intentionality Strategist, empowering women worldwide to create an intentional mindset using specific tactics in mental health and self-care. I believe in your innate power to heal and grow from uncomfortable and challenging life experiences. Whether you've experienced trauma recently or years ago, these experiences may still impact you. Within my scope, clients define their traumatic incidents, ranging from minor to catastrophic. I offer a collaborative, validating, and affirming space to access and work through past experiences, fostering self-exploration, growth, and healing. By validating feelings and reframing irrational thinking, I help clients accept themselves fully while encouraging and motivating change. I use evidence-based treatments, including Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Narrative Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Psychodynamic approaches. Together, we will discover emotional and behavioral patterns or negative perceptions holding you back from the life you desire. I am LGBTQ+ friendly and primarily work with clients experiencing mood disorders (anxiety, depression, PTSD), relationship difficulties, and have specialized training in grief and trauma. I am the clinical expert, but you are the expert of self; collaboratively, we focus on your strengths and explore the patterns that have brought you here. I hold a PhD in Counseling from Barry University, an EdD in Education and Supervision from Argosy University, and a Bachelor's degree from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University.

Roshell has created a safe space for me to talk about difficult things, and encourages me to focus on being positive.
I felt very comfortable talking with her. Usually I don’t like talking about my personal problems with anyone.

I've been to therapy several times before and truly appreciate the services I've received from Roshell. she has helped me change my life and increase my healthy behaviors. I would definitely recommend her!
Roshell completely saved my marriage! Without her guidance and skills, I know that my partner and I would have gotten a divorce. She is a lifesaver!
I was so nervous to start therapy and since working with Roshell she has helped me tremendously and truly don’t know how I would have made certain life decisions without her support.
She's great, and unlike any other counselor, I've ever seen! She really gets to know you and made me feel seen, heard, and understood. It's been a very validating experience with Roshell.
The first day I walked into Roshell's office, I had no idea what to expect. I had negative preconceived notions about psychotherapy, but they quickly vanished after my first session. She has a truly accepting nature that allowed me to open up not only with her, but with myself. Her immense knowledge of human psychology in combination with her experience as a therapist left me equipped to handle real life challenges. I would highly recommend scheduling with Roshell.
Roshell balances professionalism with authentic personal connection, creating an extremely comfortable environment for counseling. She explores difficult personal topics with finnese and tact, which has allowed me to process life experiences in an open and safe environment. Roshell further exemplifies balance in her ability to maintain thoughtful silence while still offering valuable insight into the discussion. My sessions with Roshell have had profound impacts in my life and mental health and I look forward to continuing sessions with her.
I always find my visits useful and insightful as Roshell probes and asks the right questions to get me to see my world in a very different way. This enables me to recognize behaviors and thoughts and work to adjust myself, through exercises, to be a better version of myself.
