Growing up playing football, basketball, and volleyball, he spent years navigating injuries and learning the value of proper movement, recovery, and education. The impact his physical therapists had on his performance and long-term health sparked his desire to help other athletes return to the sports they love. Dr. Grim earned his Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training from the University of Pittsburgh in 2022, gaining extensive hands-on experience in Division I athletic training rooms across multiple sports, including basketball and volleyball, as well as spending a season working in the NFL with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He went on to complete his Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Northeastern University in 2025, where he continued working with collegiate track and field, hockey, and basketball teams. His clinical rotations included sports medicine orthopedics, acute care, and professional baseball with the Cincinnati Reds. With a strong foundation in both athletic training and sports physical therapy, Dr. Grim has developed particular expertise in treating field and court athletes, specializing in ankle and knee conditions, including post-operative ACL rehabilitation. His background in volleyball and baseball also fuels his interest in working with overhead athletes managing shoulder and elbow injuries. Driven by his own athletic history and a deep commitment to performance-based care, Dr. Grim is passionate about helping athletes recover stronger, move better, and return to sport with confidence.
