Elizabeth Mengar, Licensed Social Worker, views developing a relationship with her client as her initial role in a therapy session. By doing this, Elizabeth fosters a nonjudgmental environment where both her client and she can begin to acknowledge the strengths that each of us innately has, while also addressing and processing areas for mental, emotional, and physical growth. Elizabeth takes a person-centered, trauma-informed, strengths-based approach, providing multiple therapeutic modalities individualized initially based on the concerns brought into session. Elizabeth received her Master's in Social Work, specializing in Organization and Community Practice, from the University of Illinois, Chicago, and her Bachelor's in Social Work from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. In her downtime, Elizabeth loves finding new restaurants with friends and loved ones, walking around the neighborhood, knitting, listening to live music, and continuing to learn about the diversity of the human experience.
