Life stressors and change can be difficult to manage, especially without adequate support. We can work together to help you reach your goals and true potential in life. My therapy style is supportive, client-centered, and completely judgment-free. By working together, we can improve your coping mechanisms, increase awareness and understanding around your thought process and behaviors, and strengthen your relationships with others in your life.
Just as no two people are alike, my therapeutic approach and styles are based on the particular individual with whom I am working. I have an eclectic therapeutic style, in which I incorporate various aspects of DBT, CBT, and Motivational Interviewing. My specialties include LGBTQ+ specific issues, depression, anxiety, and self-empowerment. By using a client-centered approach, every client will receive his/her/their own individualized treatment. I utilize multiple modalities to get to the core of the client's issue and have a better understanding of how thoughts and feelings influence one's behavior.
What is one thing you do daily that supports your mental and emotional well-being?
Regardless of how busy life may feel at the moment, I always make an effort to prioritize my time and make sure to get outside for a couple breathes of fresh air. This can mean a short walk around the block or a longer walk through a park or neighborhood.
