Psychotherapist
299 Broadway, Ste 905, New York, NY
I consider psychotherapy to be a space for curiosity and reflection, where emotional patterns, identity, and meaning can be explored with care and depth. The people I work with usually have a pull towards understanding themselves more deeply, even if they don’t have the full language for articulating what they are experiencing. They may be confused by their emotions, coping with trauma, stuck in behavioral patterns, or feel that something isn’t quite aligned in their life. What they are seeking is a place where they can slow down, speak freely, and explore their inner world without being judged or rushed. In addition to symptom relief, I help clients develop a clearer relationship with their thoughts, emotions, and history so that change feels meaningful and sustainable. In session, I provide a thoughtful, nonjudgemental space informed by psychodynamic, Jungian, and cognitive-behavioral approaches. I help clients gain insight into their inner conflicts and recurring patterns while developing a stronger sense of self and authenticity. I have extensive experience supporting LGBTQ+ folks with identity-affirming care and life transitions. Starting up with therapy can sometimes feel like a big step. I approach the work with curiosity, care, and respect for each person’s individuality and pace. If you’re drawn to deeper self-understanding and meaningful change, I welcome you to schedule an appointment when the time feels right.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I offer psychotherapy that is warm, engaged, and grounded in deep respect for each person’s individuality. My style is collaborative, emotionally attuned, and nonjudgmental, while also being thoughtful and direct when needed. I aim to create a space where patients can speak openly about what feels painful, confusing, private, or difficult, and where they feel taken seriously in the fullness of their experience. Together, we look at patterns in relationships, emotions, identity, self-image, and behavior, and explore how past experiences and unconscious dynamics may still be shaping the present. I also believe therapy should be alive, human, and practical, not just abstract reflection. My hope is to help patients develop greater insight, self-trust, and the capacity for meaningful change. I am affirming of LGBTQ+ identities and value providing gender-affirming care for trans, nonbinary, and gender-questioning patients. I welcome conversations about identity, embodiment, transition, dysphoria, relationships, and the emotional complexity that can come with living authentically in the world. Therapy with me is not about forcing people into labels or assumptions, but about helping them better understand themselves and move toward a life that feels more coherent and genuinely their own.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

A typical session with me begins by getting a sense of what feels most important or most alive that day, whether that is a current stressor, a recurring emotional pattern, a relationship issue, or something that has felt difficult to put into words. I try to meet patients where they are while also helping them slow down, reflect, and notice deeper themes beneath the immediate problem. My process is conversational, collaborative, and insight-oriented. Some sessions may focus on exploring present-day challenges in a practical way, while others may go deeper into personal history, relationship dynamics, identity, and unconscious patterns. I often help patients make connections between past and present, inner experience and outer life, so that therapy becomes not just a place to vent, but a place to understand and change. Over time, sessions can help patients develop greater emotional awareness, clearer self-understanding, and a stronger sense of how they want to live and relate to others.
