Dr. Power was attentive to my needs and modified the exercises to help me reach my full potential. She explained every exercise I was doing and how each would help strengthen my body and alleviate my pain. She asked numerous questions and evaluated me thoroughly.

Emily Power is the real deal, especially to any dancer in need of expert rehabilitation. As a ballet dancer recovering from a difficult injury, I needed a therapist who truly understood the demands of my art. Emily approached my recovery with unmatched dedication and care. She didn’t just apply a standard routine, she created personalized exercises and stretches, using her deep knowledge and experience to address my specific needs. Throughout my recovery, she was always patient, encouraging, and determined to help me regain my strength and confidence. Her attention to detail and persistence pulled me through an injury that at times felt overwhelming. Thanks to her expertise and support, I’ve returned to dancing stronger, more stable, and more mindful of my body. She is truly an exceptional therapist who goes above and beyond for her patients.
I was working with Emily when she was with a busy Spear Physical Therapy location and I was recovering from ankle surgery. Despite how busy the center was, she was always on time, focused, and attentive to whatever was happening with me each visit. I appreciated Emily's diverse background before she landed in the PT world...those experiences, I think, make her an even more well-rounded provider. If you can book with Emily, do it!
Emily is a fantastic physical therapist that truly cares about her patients. She approaches therapy in a calm, confident, and non-intimidating manner and possesses an impressive amount of knowledge to get you back to doing the things you love. I’ve worked with her to rehabilitate from both surgery and overuse injuries and each time she has been able to help me return to sport. I can’t recommend her enough!
Emily is attentive and mindful of all the exercises she trains during sessions. She does a great job of ensuring the form is correct and helping the patient self-check any pain or discomfort. I have a bad habit of pushing through the pain but Emily taught me how to set boundaries and limits during my recovery. What I found extremely helpful was her background in aerial. I have inflammation and bursitis from an aerial injury and her expertise is so helpful in building up the strength I need to get back into an aerial hoop one day. I cannot recommend Emily's practice and skills enough!
Emily is a professional and a problem solver. She fixed me up and taught me how to maintain. She will absolutely be the first person I call if I get injured again!
Emily was a godsend when I came to her with a pretty debilitating case of sciatic pain. She was really good at listening to what I had to say about my pain and pinpointing the source. She has magic hands! I worked with her twice a week for three months and by the end of our time together, I was not only pain free, but I had the tools to combat any recurrence of pain via the exercises she taught me. Plus, she has great bedside manner and it was always lovely chatting with her during our appointments.
I met Emily while working on a Broadway show. I had a severe ankle injury at the start of the production and Emily held my hand the entire way. Emily is an incredible PT. She has the warmest personality, extremely dedicated to your recovery, and makes you really understand why she is using each and every exercise. I am the type of person that likes to ask questions about certain techniques and procedures but Emily had a solid explanation for every question. I highly recommend her work and know you can trust her knowledge on healing! She’s just the best!
Emily was kind and thorough in her evaluation and treatment plan. She knew when to push and when to have me take it easy. It was nice to be cared for as a whole person and not just another number of the schedule. I finished my PT feeling stronger and more confident in my body in ages. Would absolutely return for future treatment.
Emily is absolutely fantastic. She’s a true expert, with a ton of knowledge about the body, rehabilitation, exercise and pain management. But the best thing about her is how down-to-earth and encouraging she is. I saw her for about a year, for a lower back issue — which greatly improved under her care!
Emily is the best PT I’ve ever had. She is extremely knowledgeable about a variety of issues, specifically for me she helped with EDS, hypermobility, dance related concerns, and general chronic pain. I cannot recommend her enough as a provider. She does not expect you to stop doing the things you love while treating an injury and meets you where you’re at. If you need a PT, go to Emily!
Nobody better than Emily: I came to her upset and pretty broken, and she totally accepted where I was (injured!) and worked really hard to put me back together. Because she’s also a dancer, she understands the body from both sides. Because she is a Pilates instructor, she understands the need to lengthen AND strengthen. Because she is a beautiful human, she knows it’s hard to have a long road ahead.
