“The first doctor I may have ever had that cared about my mental health in tangent with my physical health. Going through injury and life changes due to that injury was hard. Unlike others that made me feel poorly for having pain or telling me that it’s normal to be uncomfortable and moving on- he considered the big picture with treatment and also seemed to empathize in a way I hadn’t experienced. That realization is sad truly. In addition to that he educated me on what my imaging showed in great detail and tied it back to his treatment plan. I’m exceptionally happy I happened to find his office and was able to see him promptly to restore my mobility without insane wait times that could adversely effect my rehabilitation”

Mauricio is one of the best medical professionals I have ever worked with. He cares about his patients, listens to their concerns, and is very knowledgeable about exercises needed to strengthen different muscle areas. I appreciate very much his time and dedication to making sure that I could get back on my feet and continue to lead an active lifestyle. I would highly recommend him to anyone who needs physical therapy.

Mauricio is a superb PT and highly sought after because of his excellent and in-depth knowledge and problem solving approaches. He always takes the time to listen and understand the symptoms I have been dealing with and formulates a strategy improving my ROM and addressing pain issues as I healed from surgery. I really appreciate having him as my part of my care team at Dabbs.

Dr. Mauricio treated me for lower back pain that had been bothering me for a long time. In prior visits to sports medicine doctors I was treated with cortisone shots, which temporarily helped with pain, but provided no longer-term relief. My subsequent treatments by physical therapist (PT) Dr. Mauricio provided significantly better and long-lasting results. Dr. Mauricio spent the time to diagnose and treat the root cause. He is extremely knowledgeable and skilled in the body skeletal/muscular interactions and his physical therapy massage/pressure techniques. Furthermore, he communicates on a friendly and supportive level, making it easy to address the pain issues. As a result of his treatment and exercises, my back feels a whole lot better... and no more cortisone shots! I heartily recommend Dr. Mauricio for all your PT issues.

I just want to praise the entire wonderful physical therapist team at Dabbs! In particular, Dr Mauricio Salazar is an amazing source of information, guidance and expert care. He educates us about exactly what is going on with our bodies, gives us exercises to do at home in addition to in-office therapy, and if those exercises for some reason do not work well with our bodies, he finds alternative exercises (or ways to do them) that accomplish the same goal of healing. He’s a wonderful listener and adapts his treatment to our needs. He has helped me on so many occasions! And one heckuva nice guy, too! Highly recommend!
