About Fernando Tan
Fernando completed his degree in physical therapy at the University of Santo Thomas in 1979 and proceeded to graduate with an MD in 1984. He participated in a residency program in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, prior to moving to the US with his then Fiancé and fellow graduate, Patricia Ting.
Fernando became a licensed Physical Therapist in 1986. He became a staff physical therapist at the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Jersey, and within two years was appointed the director of the Department of Physical Therapy.
In this capacity, he was able to learn the best techniques and attend innumerable seminars on hands-on, manual, orthopedic, and neurological conditions. Fernando planned and developed several new programs at the hospital-based Physical Therapy Department such as: Lymphedema Clinic, Arthritis Clinic; The Back School: The Neck School: Pediatric Orthopedic Rehabilitation; Pain Clinic; Wound Care & Debridement; Cardiac Rehabilitation; Total Knee Replacement & Total hip Replacement Protocols; and Arthroscopic Knee Rehabilitation. Additionally, he was selected to develop and oversee a vital study on Surgical RTC Diagnosis.
In 1992, Fernando relocated to New York to open his first All Care Physical Therapy Center in Freeport New York. His state of the art Physical Therapy center has expanded to now include wellness acupuncture, reflexology and massage programs.
In 2007 he relocated to his current location in Baldwin New York.
