Getting to know Dr. Frank Connors
I am a Clinical Psychology Postdoctoral Fellow at Bryant West Psychology, where I provide psychotherapy to adults both in person and online throughout New York State. I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, adjustment difficulties, relationship concerns, and major life transitions. I have a particular interest in working with professionals who are navigating the psychological demands of work, leadership, career transitions, and the challenges that often accompany high levels of responsibility.

What should a new client know about working with you?
Before returning to clinical psychology, I spent more than twenty years in leadership development and talent management with a Fortune 100 financial institution. In that role, I coached leaders, consulted with executive teams, facilitated organizational change, and helped professionals navigate complex interpersonal dynamics, career transitions, and leadership challenges. This experience has deepened my appreciation for the psychological demands of work, leadership, and relationships, and continues to inform my work with clients from many different backgrounds.
Alongside my professional work, I have maintained a longstanding mindfulness meditation practice, which has strengthened my interest in helping people cultivate greater awareness, self-compassion, and emotional balance.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
My approach to therapy is collaborative, thoughtful, and tailored to the individual. My clinical foundation is in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and I believe practical strategies for understanding thoughts, emotions, and behaviors can provide meaningful relief while creating opportunities for lasting change. At the same time, I am interested in integrating relational, developmental, and mindfulness-based perspectives, recognizing that our relationships, life experiences, and patterns of relating to ourselves and others also shape psychological well-being. Together, we work to better understand these patterns while developing new ways of responding that promote resilience, flexibility, and personal growth.
I view therapy as a collaborative relationship built on curiosity, authenticity, and respect. My goal is to create a space where you feel understood, challenged when appropriate, and supported as you work toward a more meaningful and fulfilling life.

We can bill your insurance for you, and you can pay us any deductibles and co-pays by credit card or through Zelle, as well as the old-fashioned ways, such as check or cash.
In-Network: Our clinicians are providers in the following networks: Aetna and its affiliated insurers (Allied Benefit Systems - Aetna, Christian Brothers Services - Aetna, HealthScope - Aetna, Meritain, Nippon, Trustmark) and student health insurance at NYU, Columbia, New School, and Fordham. Your insurance company sets our fees, co-pays, and deductibles, making our services more affordable. We will discuss this with you.
Out-of-Network: We bill all insurance companies, such as United Health Care, Oxford, Cigna, Blue Cross/Shield, and Beacon (to name a few). Depending on your plan, your insurance may pay up to 80% of our fees (and sometimes more). We will do our best to work with you to make payment arrangements that won't break the bank—that is, your bank.
