Getting to know Dr. Fritz Franke
Dr. Franke completed his medical degree at Medizinische Universität Wien and psychiatry training at the University of Vienna under Dr. Victor Frankl, author of *Man's Search for Meaning*. He completed an internship at Albany Medical College and a residency at Charity Hospital in New Orleans. Following a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Vanderbilt University Medical School in Nashville, Tennessee, Dr. Franke focused on depression and its impact on all family members before moving to Houston.
His medical practice specializes in the treatment of chronic depression and anxiety lasting longer than two months. All of Dr. Franke's patients receive regular therapy 2–4 times a month, along with medication when appropriate. He does not offer second opinion consults or medication refills only. His philosophy is that with therapy, we are all able to achieve a more productive life. There is a $65 late cancellation fee if appointments are canceled without 24 hours' notice.

What should a new client know about working with you?
Medication can help with symptoms of depression or anxiety, but only with therapy can we successfully navigate the endless pot holes life presents.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
In the beginning taking a personal history, including any relevant traumas and life events, as well as what the patient is currently dealing with.
We also check sleep and overall health as good sleep is important for mood. 85% of those experiencing depression or anxiety do not sleep well.

Unprofessional administration. My prescription was sent to the wrong pharmacy four times despite me sending the name and address via text message. I requested to speak to the doctor to voice my concerns and he called me 6 times back to back in a 10 minute time span. After which, I did not return his call to voice my concerns as that was an insane way to attempt to reach a client.

Dr. Franke got to root of my depression right away. He cares about that and overall health - like sleeping issues. Really helped me.

I felt unheard and my issues weren't addressed. I felt more hopeless after this phone call. The reception on the phone for more than 10 minutes was unclear and instead of him fixing it on his end he had me hangup and call back. I'd never use zoc doc or Dr. Frankie again.
