Welcome to your healing journey. I applaud you for your courage to take the first step to explore therapy. I have been working in the behavioral health field for many years and am here to help you navigate the challenges in your life. I have experience working with individuals who may be going through life transitions, anxiety, depression, and trauma. I also work with couples. I offer a client-centered, strength-based, collaborative approach focused on your unique needs and goals. I welcome you to reach out whenever you feel ready to begin. I’m here to provide a safe and supportive environment to connect and for you to begin your next step. My approach My approach to therapy is client-focused and collaborative, with an emphasis on fully listening and being present. I utilize a variety of tools to help support each individual in one's unique way. For some, a cognitive approach may be suitable in recognizing one's thought processes and developing tools to manage stressful thought patterns. Others may prefer a body-centered and feeling-oriented approach to help with processing one's emotions and becoming more tuned into body sensations and the inner gut. I will be guided by you and what may be the most suitable approach for your temperament and personality. My focus I work with individuals who may be seeking to have a better understanding of their inner mental and emotional landscape, particularly regarding outside challenges and obstacles. I work with individuals who may be seeking a sense of deeper meaning and purpose in their lives and perhaps may be experiencing an existential crisis. I look at attachment styles and how they impact one's relationship dynamics. I have helped support men who may be looking to explore their male psyche and struggling with the challenges of vulnerability and personal empowerment. I also work with women who prefer a male therapist who may offer a positive male role model.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My communication style My communication style is reflective and empathetic. One of my strengths is listening fully and deeply. I believe that each person has inner wisdom they can learn to access through a reflective process. I view therapy as a means to provide guidance and support rather than provide answers. My journey to mental healthcare I have been interested in personal growth since I was an adolescent. I found myself intrigued by what made people tick and wanting to have a deeper understanding of human nature. I knew when I finished high school that I wanted to become a psychologist. I started in the profession after college and went on for an advanced degree. I also explored my own inner psyche through therapy and later did men's work. My desire is to help others find what is true and authentic for them and to give back in ways that I have received.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My goals for you My intention is to help support each individual towards greater personal empowerment. I see goals as "wins" that can be attained and achieved. Goals can be developed and modified as part of the therapy process while uncovering one's inner resources and hidden strengths as allies. My first session with you The first session is the beginning of an exploration process, developing a rapport and learning about my client. During the first session, we will take a comprehensive look at the many contributing factors and challenges of one's life. I view the first session as an opportunity to get an overall picture from a broad perspective with the intent of fine-tuning in subsequent sessions.
