What should a new client know about working with you?

I work with adolescents, young adults (18-26) and adults who are struggling with chronic pain, stress, or recognizing and changing patterns that no longer serve them. My goal is to instill hope, help in relieving your sense of suffering, and assist in restoring your ability to function in life. I have training in the following areas, and use them to guide our sessions: ? Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) ? Acceptance and Commitment Therapy ? Solution-Focused Brief Therapy ? Emotion Focused Therapy ? Somatic techniques ? Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy ? Dialectical Behavior Therapy ? Safe and Sound Protocol ? Cognitive Processing Therapy

What is your typical process for working with clients?

From our psychotherapy sessions, you can expect 3 things: understanding, challenge, and growth. My goal is to make sure I understand your story the way you experience it. You will be challenged at times, and it might be uncomfortable. You might even find yourself stewing over the audacity I must have to make a connection that disrupts your normal way of thinking or being - with respect, of course. You can also expect to learn a skill and gain some insight.
