About Dr. George Stamboulis
George Stamboulis is a Co-founder of SOMA Physical and Occupational Therapy. He earned his Bachelors of Life Sciences and Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from New York Institute of Technology (NYIT). Following his graduate education, George completed an orthopedic residency program where he was mentored by renowned physical therapist across the nation. With the knowledge and hands-on experience, he obtained his orthopedic clinical specialist certification (OCS) and taught graduate level anatomy and manual therapy. He is also a co-author of a journal article on blood flow restriction training, which was published in the International Journal of Sports Physical Therapy.
George prides himself in giving quality care and guiding patients to better themselves every visit. He has experience treating a variety of diagnoses including, but not limited to pre/post-operative, musculoskeletal, sports injuries, neurological and chronic pain.
On his off time, he enjoys spending time with his family, working out, hiking/camping and fishing.

George helped me so much with my knee pain. He was able to assess my knee and cure my pain without the need of going to an orthopedist. He is very thorough with his examination and has an amazing bedside manner.

I had been working with a few physical therapists following a foot injury. I felt like my progress had stalled and I became distressed that I was never going to be back to my old self. My then physical therapist suggested I start working with George Stamboulis. Everything changed. George tried new things until we found what worked for me. George understood that I was not like other patients and we came up with a PT routine that worked for me. I’m now walking better than I have in years.
Unfortunately I’m having surgery for a new medical issue and I’ll be going back to George because I know he’ll be able to get me back to my normal activity.

Been to other physical therapy places and nothing compares to SOMA PTOT. George was fantastic! He diagnosed what was wrong with my hip and now I experience no pain while working out.

Had such a great experience at Soma Physical and Occupational Therapy. Not only is George, the physical therapist, a pleasure to speak with but he is also very thorough and knowledgable. He truly cares about your recovery and follows up to measure your progress. The best!
