Getting to know Dr. Gregory Inzinna

Dr. Greg Inzinna is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, professor, and researcher. After graduating magna cum laude from Manhattan University, he earned his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Long Island University. He completed his Pre-Doctoral Internship at Southwest Behavioral & Health Services and his Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Parnes Clinic at Yeshiva University's Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology. Greg supervises and trains graduate student therapists and is working to advance the field of clinician training to increase patient access to quality mental health care. He currently teaches doctoral and master's level Lifespan Psychopathology, Group Therapy, and Child & Adolescent Counseling. He is a member of the American Psychological Association (APA), the New York State Psychological Association (NYSPA), and the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies (ABCT).

What should a new client know about working with you?

Greg provides a warm, caring, professional environment for individuals, couples, and families. Problems that bring people to therapy can range anywhere from a specific relationship difficulty, trauma, anxiety, or depression, to a more general sense that one's life lacks something, such as a sense of meaning or purpose. The goal of treatment is to build vitality and mental health by gaining insight into your past & present and utilizing evidence-based treatments to move you forward.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

We work in initial sessions to see if we will be a good fit together and take time to understand how therapy can be helpful. Together, we will consider how helpful it might be to look into the past, focus on the future, or some combination of both.
