Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Long Island University Brooklyn Campus and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Stony Brook University, Dr. Jackie Shen is a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist. She specializes in treating orthopedic and neurological conditions in adult and geriatric populations, focusing on helping patients regain functional abilities and improve quality of life.
Dr. Shen’s approach is rooted in evidence-based techniques and a functional rehabilitation model. She tailors treatment plans to each patient’s unique needs, ensuring a personalized and effective path to recovery. Currently, Dr. Shen leads a team at Hands of Hope Outpatient Rehabilitation in Brooklyn, NY, managing collaborative care for patients with conditions such as lower back pain, ACL tears, hip replacement aftercare, Parkinson's disease, osteoarthritis, and shoulder impingement. She also develops aquatic rehabilitation plans and treats about four patients per hour.
Her clinical experience includes work at Bensonhurst Center of Rehabilitation, a skilled nursing facility, where she evaluated and treated patients with neurological, cognitive, orthopedic, and cardiopulmonary conditions. She collaborated with occupational therapists, speech therapists, and physicians, and ensured timely documentation for insurance billing. At PT of the City, Dr. Shen worked in outpatient rehabilitation, treating up to 45 patients per day, and conducted an in-service on central post-stroke pain to educate clinic staff on neurological rehab.

Receptionist (Cacusian, heavyweight, glasses) did not acknowledge my presence, she engaged in a personal conversation with another patient which I overheard, looked at me and proceeded with her conversation for over two minutes. Very rude.
