Jay Andersen, OTR/L

Occupational Therapist
1300 N 500 E, Ste 130, Logan, UT
I received my undergraduate and graduate education in Occupational Therapy from the University of Utah in 2003. I have a long history of serving clients in all areas of occupational therapy, with a particular focus and skill in working with the aging population. I hold a specialty certification in Lymphedema therapy, with expertise in manual lymphatic drainage, multi-layer compression bandaging, and myofascial release treatment. For the past 10 years, I have specifically worked with individuals dealing with swelling, scar tissue, and chronic pain, helping them restore their ability to participate in and perform meaningful and productive daily activities. Throughout my career, I have practiced in a broad range of areas, including pediatric outpatient and early intervention, home health, outpatient aquatic therapy, skilled nursing, and now, specifically, acute and chronic edema and chronic pain. I greatly enjoy getting to know my clients on a personal level and providing care to the aging population who need genuine care and compassion. This brings me much satisfaction in my work. I am gentle, skilled, and demand results from myself and the services I provide, ensuring that my clients leave in a better state than when they arrived at my clinic. My goal is for the people I care for to receive the best treatment possible so they can return to a healthier, more productive, and happy life without limitations from the various health conditions they are experiencing. I love spending time with my wife and three young adult sons, engaging in various outdoor activities in the mountains and lakes near our home in southern Idaho. I have more hobbies and interests than I have time for, and if I didn't enjoy my work so much, I could spend every waking moment learning something new, playing music, fishing, hunting, biking, exercising, and especially preparing tasty meals for my family and friends.
