About Dr. Joel Giffin
Dr. Joel Giffin, PT, DPT, CHT is a Certified Hand Therapist and received his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree with distinction from Simmons College. Prior to that he earned his Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from Quinnipiac University with Honors where he also played Division 1 lacrosse. He became a Certified Hand Therapist in 2009. He has since specialized in the hand and upper extremity.
Prior to founding Flex Physical Therapy, Dr. Giffin served as Clinical Director and Director of Hand Therapy of an outpatient orthopedic physical therapy clinic on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. Dr. Giffin brings over 10 years of experience in a variety of settings including private practices, specialty hospitals and health care centers. He regularly attends continuing education courses focusing of the hand and upper extremity to stay current on new trends and techniques.
At Flex Physical Therapy Joel works closely with Madison Baughman, MS, OTR/L and Henry Goldberg, MA, OTR, CHT to ensure high quality hand therapy is maintained in a one on one environment. All of the hand therapists at Flex are active members of the American Society of Hand Therapists.
