John Story, PT

Physical Therapist
13108 Dallas Pkwy, Ste 410, Frisco, TX
From a young age, I realized I wanted to be a Physical Therapist. I have always been the person people came to for help. My interest in the profession was somewhat of a calling. I began my educational journey to accomplish my goal, starting at California State University, Long Beach. I studied Biology as an undergrad, where I further fell in love with the human body and how it works. A few years later, I earned my Master's in Physical Therapy from California State University, Long Beach. Since graduating, I have worked in many settings. I started in a hospital-based outpatient clinic, where I worked with a diverse range of patients, including those in cardiac rehab, joint replacements, neurologic conditions, and pediatrics. I then worked for a private outpatient clinic focused mostly on orthopedics. Most recently, I worked at the Hoag Orthopedic Institute, helping patients in the hospital setting after knee and hip replacements and spine surgeries. I am always striving to learn new techniques to better assist my patients. Since 2013, I have been a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, which allows me to better progress or regress patients through exercises and determine when someone is safe to return to sport or specific activities. I treat all my patients as individuals, using an Evidence-Based Practice approach. This ensures I provide care that is ethical, proven, and the gold standard, helping my patients return to their normal day-to-day lives efficiently and safely. Born and raised in sunny Southern California, I now proudly call Texas my home. I enjoy staying active through outdoor activities, the gym, and playing with my two children. I thank my family every day for the opportunity to be theirs because there is nothing more important than family.
