What should a new client know about working with you?

As a CBT therapist, my approach generally takes on a structured, goal-oriented framework which aims to empower the client by providing an understanding of emotional challenges, along with strategies to work through said challenges. In cases where early experiences may demand a deeper approach, I draw from experiential and schema based modalities to work through the impact of these experiences.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I strive to collaborate with clients to ensure that each session is productive in working towards a goals, while also providing concrete strategies which can be applied between sessions. While treatment for OCD and anxiety often is shorter in duration relative to other presenting issues, I strive to make sure that clients are developing skills and insight to transition away from therapy with a gameplan to continue building on progress made in treatment.
