Are you feeling anxious or on edge? Periods of depression or simply find yourself feeling unhappy? Struggling with a significant life event or want to work through past trauma? If so, I'd love to meet with you. With over 17 years of experience in helping others through counseling, I am an EMDR trained therapist who works with individuals experiencing anxiety, trauma, and many other issues they would like to work through. While I use EMDR as the main modality, I also integrate techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, ACT, and Narrative Therapy (among others) to help each client meet their specific goals.
Our first session will focus on identifying the presenting concerns and mapping out a treatment plan specifically designed for you so that we can help you meet your goals. Subsequent sessions will dive deeply into the issues while using appropriate strategies and proven techniques to begin progressing towards your goal. While I work with clients dealing with many presenting concerns, I have extensive experience working with anxiety, depression, stress, and trauma.
I hold a Master's in Professional Counseling with experience in non-profit, clinical, and private practice settings.
I accept many insurances and am licensed in both Virginia and Texas. While my physical in-office sessions are located in the Richmond, Virginia area, I am available to provide secure video therapy to clients located throughout both Texas and Virginia.
