Getting to know Ruth Zuber

Hello! I'm Ruth. Are you feeling disconnected, running on autopilot? Do you feel like you are going in a million directions but not getting anywhere? Are you in a season of life that feels uncertain and uncomfortable? We all have different life experiences, and sometimes figuring out how to handle and cope with those experiences is challenging-but you don't have to do it alone! Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, grief, chronic stress, trauma, or just feeling overwhelmed, change is possible. I hold a MEd in Marriage and Family Therapy from Purdue University Fort Wayne, and I believe that the relationship between counselor and client is foundational. I strive to create an environment where you feel comfortable and validated. Through our work together, I want to help you meet your goals and start living the life you have envisioned. I'll meet you with compassion and evidence-based techniques so you can overcome hurdles and habits that are holding you back. Asking for help isn't easy. We all need support at times, and I am honored to be in a profession where I get to be that support. I would be honored to be that support for you! I am currently accepting adult patients only for telehealth counseling services.

What should a new client know about working with you?

We will work together to identify the underlying issues that are contributing to the problem that you would like to address. This often includes looking at the present day, how your thoughts, feelings and behaviors are related to each, and also at the past, how past events have shaped how your thinking and view of the world. The goal is to develop your understanding and set of skills so that you create change and address challenges in an empowering and healthy manner.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
