She received her B.S in Psychology and Child Learning and Development as well as her M.S in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She utilizes relational, collaborative and solution focused approaches in order to best meet client need at the present time.
Joy seeks to establish a warm, caring, genuine relationship with you in order to assist in building on your identified strengths and better collaborate with you or you and your loved ones towards meeting your goals and providing you with the tools to live the meaningful life you value and desire. During your first session Joy will take the time to go over privacy practices and gather background information about you and what brings you into therapy, as well as provide you with a brief summary of her background and experience and take the time to answer any questions you may have. From there you will work together to identify your goals and how Joy can best assist you on your journey.
In her free time, Joy enjoys dancing, painting, singing, playing with her husband and child, listening to music, traveling around the world, and planning vacations.
