Getting to know Hannah Oran
Hi! My name is Hannah. In my practice, my goal is to provide an open and safe space, centered around you. I am a Licensed Certified Social Worker and a University of Texas graduate and I believe in the potential of humans to heal and live fulfilling lives customized to their own needs, desires and values.
I specialize in trauma work with folks who are seeking self-knowledge, embodiment, relief, joy, and more. I also specialize in work with humans in transition, whether that is from teenagehood to adulthood, youth to maturity, partnered to single, or navigating shifts in sexual and/or gender identity. In addition, I work with individuals experiencing grief, whether that is the loss of a loved one or other types of loss, including but not limited to breakups and life changes that shift relationships with those around you.
What should a new client know about working with you?
A significant part of my work includes EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), an evidence-based approach that helps individuals safely process and integrate distressing experiences. EMDR supports the nervous system in reprocessing traumatic memories so they are no longer stored in the body as ongoing threat or distress. Through this work, clients often develop a deeper sense of embodiment, increased self-awareness, and a more compassionate understanding of themselves.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
In my practice, I start by creating a safe and open space where clients can freely express themselves. We work collaboratively to explore their needs, desires, and values. I specialize in guiding individuals through transitions, grief, and trauma. Together, we navigate these challenges, processing emotions and fostering healing. My approach is tailored to each client's unique journey, empowering them to live fulfilling lives aligned with their authentic selves.
