Karen joined Neuro Colorado Spring 2014. A die-hard Broncos fan who is passionate about the outdoors and relationships she looks for the best ways to foster thriving community. She has worked extensively with adults with trauma issues. Specializing in PTSD, complex PTSD, attachment trauma, developmental trauma, dissociative disorders and Religious Trauma Syndrome, Karen has practiced EMDR since 2008, is Level 1 Trained in Internal Family Systems, has taken extensive training in various Neurotherapies, including Sebern Fisher’s work for the use of neurofeedback for the treatment of developmental trauma and dissociative disorders, and is currently training in various forms of psychotherapy, such as Dynamic Attachment Repatterning Experience (DARE), Somatic Experiencing and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy.
Specifically, she is passionate about working with people in the restoration process of overcoming physical, emotional, psychological, sexual and spiritual abuse, as well as people wanting to overcome anxiety, feeling “stuck” in life, by assisting them to resolve the underlying issues that hold them back from thriving. She holds a Masters in Community Counseling with a love for studying neurobiology and using brain based interventions to resolve the issues from the past and overcome present life challenges, so that you can create the life you desire.
