Rachael McDermott, LPC

Psychotherapist
6200 S Syracuse Way, Ste 260, Greenwood Village, CO
Hello, I'm Rachael. I work from a client-centered and trauma-informed approach, addressing all aspects of your whole self to help you find healing, hope, and the freedom to navigate life's challenges and learn to thrive. Although I work with clients of all ages, I specialize in working with adolescents and young adults. I am a Nationally Certified Counselor, a Licensed Addiction Counselor, EMDR trained, and a Licensed Professional Counselor with a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. My approach to therapy is founded on creating a safe and nonjudgmental environment for you to process identified struggles and practice utilizing therapeutic tools. Together, we will work on regulating emotions, tolerating uncomfortable feelings, establishing healthy relationships, building assertive communication skills, and practicing mindfulness-based interventions to live a more healthy and balanced life. While my therapeutic approach aligns with Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Family Systems Theory, and Cognitive Behavior Therapy, I will fine-tune interventions to meet your unique needs. I am also open to incorporating Christian faith into our sessions if you request it, and I respect all spiritual or faith backgrounds. I am dedicated to clinical excellence and committed to instilling hope in the lives of my clients and their families. I absolutely love what I do and feel so honored to have the opportunity to walk alongside you during this season of life. If you're ready to start this journey together, I'm here to help.
