Providing high-quality care tailored to individual needs is the priority of my practice. Personal experiences and values are respected and carefully considered when forming treatment plans. I understand the importance of a seamless process in psychological services and personally respond to all inquiries and patient communications. Intake procedures are efficient, and client comfort is the focus at all stages of treatment or evaluation. I approach my work with individuals and families with a down-to-earth, warm nature and concentrate my efforts on truly understanding the whole person. I believe therapy should be practical and goal-oriented, and evaluations should provide meaningful information about functioning in the context of school, social, home, or work environments. I hold a PhD in School Psychology from Fordham University at Lincoln Center, which informs my comprehensive approach to assessment and intervention.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I provide psychotherapy to teens and young adults to address a range of issues such as anxiety, depression, stress management, the transition to college/career, and building satisfying relationships. My approach integrates techniques drawn from cognitive behavioral, humanistic, and interpersonal psychotherapies. I help my clients to challenge negative thinking, identify and accept their emotions, reflect on aspirations, and take actions to improve their relationships and personal experiences. With compassion and warmth, I work to develop an alliance with my clients so that they may develop attainable goals and take practical steps to improve their social-emotional experience. I provide psychotherapy to children to decrease symptoms of anxiety, develop coping skills, learn social skills, increase self-esteem, and improve self-regulation. My approach incorporates techniques drawn from CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and play therapy. I aim to truly understand the whole child and use various methods to engage children in the therapeutic process, such as games, puppet role play, art, and workbooks. I work with in conjunction with parents and caregivers to develop targeted therapeutic goals. Parent training sessions are often integrated into the treatment plan so that parents may learn strategies to support their child's social emotional development in the home setting.
