About Dr. Katherine Naitove

Katey Naitove, PT, DPT, Cert. MDT always knew she wanted to be in the medical field. Katey was introduced to physical therapy in high school and immediately knew that PT was the perfect fit. The human body is fascinating and the body’s capability to recover from acute trauma, planned surgery or nagging chronic pain never ceases to amaze. Katey grew up in the Chicago area, attended undergrad at DePauw University and then returned home and earned her doctorate of physical therapy at Northwestern University. She thoroughly enjoyed her time in Chicago – working in outpatient to start her career and finishing her Midwest experience at a pediatric clinic – until winter finally drove me to warmer climates. Katey moved to Athens, Georgia and started working in a spine and total joint focused outpatient clinic where she was introduced to the McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy®? (MDT) assessment approach. This approach enhanced her skills as a therapist, which motivated her to gain her certified MDT credential. From there Katey had the unique opportunity to advance her MDT training at an outpatient clinic in Tallahassee, FL where she further refined her assessment skills. An unexpected perk from her time in Florida was that she met and married her life partner! After several years of enjoying the warmer weather and developing her professional skills, she convinced her husband it was time to move to NY to live closer to her family. MOTION PT has been a great next step in her career and NY has been a wonderful place to work one-on-one with patients who are motivated to get themselves feeling better and achieve their goals!
