About Dr. Katie Finn

Katie Finn grew up in Upper Saddle River, NJ with her parents, two older brothers, and twin sister Erin. She completed her undergraduate studies at Colgate University, graduating Magna Cum Laude with a degree in biology, and went on to earn her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Delaware. Katie spent the majority of her youth playing competitive sports, including soccer, volleyball, basketball, and softball. She captained the varsity softball and volleyball teams in high school at Northern Highlands and played club volleyball at Colgate University. While earning her doctorate at Delaware, Katie participated in nearly every intramural sport, winning championships in softball, flag football, volleyball, and soccer. Katie developed an interest in physical therapy after experiencing multiple sports-related injuries while growing up. In rehabbing her own sports injuries, she got to see how invaluable it was to have a physical therapist who was invested in her recovery and cared about getting her back to her active lifestyle as quickly and as safely as possible. Since becoming a physical therapist, she has experienced first-hand how rewarding and fulfilling this career can be and couldn’t be happier with her decision to pursue it. Katie has a particular interest in treating sports-related injuries in patients of all ages due to her own personal experiences in the past. She has also developed an interest in treating the low back and is pursuing further specialization through continuing education classes and specialty certification. Katie loves the continuous learning aspect of the physical therapy profession and is always seeking out the latest research for new techniques and treatment ideas to help improve her patients’ outcomes and recoveries. In her free time, Katie enjoys playing competitive volleyball, softball, and soccer all around North Jersey. She also enjoys playing bar trivia and has been using it as practice to one day pass the Jeopardy
