Psychotherapist
GA
As a therapist, I believe it is important to walk in your purpose, and I strive to do that every day. My name is Laijun English, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia, providing treatment for teen girls and women facing life’s challenges. I earned my Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Fort Valley State University. My approach My therapeutic approach is primarily Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which focuses on challenging negative beliefs and thoughts and transforming them into positive ones. I also incorporate strategies from other therapeutic styles to tailor treatment to your needs. Whether you are dealing with anxiety, anger, depression, low self-esteem, grief and loss, daily stressors, trauma, or other trials, today is the day to seek the help you deserve. My focus I work with teen girls ages 16 and up, as well as women coping with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, stress, grief, and women-specific issues. My communication style I create a safe and welcoming environment for all my clients. My tone adapts to what you need in the moment—I can be both empathetic and firm when necessary. My clients never feel judged and always know this is a safe space. My journey to mental healthcare I became a therapist for more than one reason. Initially, it was because a loved one was struggling with mental health, and I wanted to help her. She became my driving force, and over time, my mission expanded to help others who look like me understand that mental health is just as important for us as it is for anyone else. My goals for you I meet my clients where they are in their goals. I ask for clarity to understand what those goals mean to you and what you envision for yourself at the end of our work together. My first session with you Our first session is traditionally light. I genuinely want to get to know you and figure out how to best serve you.
