Life can be both beautiful and rear its ugly side as well through trauma and painful experiences. My passion is helping people get back to the joy in their lives. I help clients, who include children, adults, and families, find healthier ways of seeing themselves and the people around them. I love to laugh with my clients, and I am often described by them as “down to earth.”
I know that no single approach is right for every individual, so I have been trained in a range of modalities, including Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, Sand Tray Therapy, Play Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy to aid in the treatment of depression, anxiety, complex grief, and trauma. These modalities enhance the skills needed for harmonious relationships as well.
I have been practicing for nine years. My approach to therapy is very Client-Centered. We look at your goals and needs and choose therapy based on what is a fit for you.
My educational background includes an M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Regent University in Virginia Beach, VA, and a B.A. in Psychology from Regent University.
